Antique Stone Musket Ball Mould


Origin: England   Period: Circa 1800

A rare pistol or musket shot/ball mould carved from stone in excellent condition. This mould dates to the late 18th or early 19th century and is lightly decorated on the outside and skilfully carved on both halves on the inside. When the halves are joined together and liquid lead is poured into the mould from the small opening on the top seven perfectly formed round shot balls would be produced.
