A rather unusual 19th century boot Jack or pull made of mahogany with folding steel stays.

This boot jack was made by military boot makers Palmer & Co, London, see name plaque, to a design that makes it useful not only for removing footwear but it is large enough to serve as a camp stool and lap table or tray.

Folding completely flat makes it an ideal piece of campaigning kit.
