19th C. Painted Crested Mirror with Shield and Dragons

Period: 19th Century

A highly unusual decorative mirror with original thick glass plate and backboards.

This very decorative mirror has aged to a fabulous mellow colour.

The crest on the top of the mirror is richly decorated with mythical figures and foliage motives either side of a shield with coat of arms.

Slight losses to mercury and usual wear and tear for an overmantel mirror, but it still displays splendidly.

Possibly Belgian
