A very rare and unusual survivor of the early to mid 19th century.
This three column mahogany washstand and bowl is very solid with well turned full columns, a one piece middle shelf and a thicker tri-form veneered base on bun feet, also it doesn’t break down.
The large and deep china bowl with brass plug and drain is in very good condition with no chips or cracks, it was probably replaced in the 1900’s/1920’s when it appears to have been adapted maybe for home use.
Showing the usual knocks and scuffs associated with a piece of furniture that has travelled.
