Silver Gilt Hip Flask London 1884

Origin: England   Period: 1884

A fine gentleman’s gilded hip flask.

The upper half has a finely embossed, diamond pattern, leather cover with a slender vertical window to each side of the glass bottle (displaying the level of the liquid inside).

The lower half has an elegant silver gilt detachable cup. The cushion shaped and richly chiselled top is personalised with stylised initials.

No chips to the glass bottle beautifully preserved; only one small slight dent to the very top underneath the initials, which does not detract from the overall elegance of this quality hip flask.

Hallmarked for London 1884.
